Degree Requirements: The associate degree in Psychology offered through the University of Phoenix’s Axia College offers an overview of human behavior traits, studies of psychological disorders, social interaction, and personality traits and theories. The program, which can be very rewarding and offers courses in pairs that relate to each other for a period of nine weeks, consists of 60 credit hours. In this program, the student will be responsible for taking basics courses, a total of 33 hours, including communications, humanities, mathematics, science and technology, and social sciences. An additional 9 credit hours must be gained in interdisciplinary studies, and the remainder of the program, 18 credit hours, are degree-specific with a concentration in psychology. Each credit hour in this program is $365, and the average time taken to complete the course should be about two years.
